Snow/study. What the heck is that Jess?
Welllll. Thanks for asking. It is 10:15. I have been awake since 8am, studying for my physiology exam tomorrow. I will leave for a quick run in about 40 minutes because it is 50-degrees outside. 5-0. Not 20, not 30, but 50. FIFTY. Remember this? That was two days ago. Most of the snow has melted and the weather is confoundingly warm.
Also, I am tired of studying. I know I need to. In order to review. And I'm sure I could use the studying (even though I have been way on top of studying for physiology this block, it's still a lot of information). But I am lazy. Luh-hey-zee.
Let's hope this run helps me get my act together and reinvigorates my desire to learn. As we all know, medical school waits for no one!
See you all tomorrow! Post-exam, home-free and very soon after, home-bound! :)

Day 361: A few events
Let's see, I have a new MCAT schedule.
6am (ish) : Wake up
6:15ish - 7am : Workout
7amish : Shower, prepare for day
8am : Begin MCAT online
1pmish: Complete full MCAT
Afterwards, relax a bit.
After relaxation, get back into MCATing. Review what I did not understand/could not answer. Learn. The whole shebang.
You know, I forgot how long and draining a five-hour exam is. Whew! I was pooped yesterday!
The plan is (for my parents who are ever so pressed about it) to follow this schedule until Wednesday. Thursday (5/21) I'm not doing a darn thing. I'm going to sit around and be lazy. Just get my head on straight.
For those of you who read this and would like to encourage me, please don't. I have heard/read that the day before a big test (of any sort, e.g., LSAT, MCAT, GRE, etc) that there should be no mention of the exam whatsoever. So, please don't wish me luck or ask me how I feel or any of that. I need to get relaxed and mentally ready. Spankyouverymuch.
Friday is the big freaking day. Eep!
Anyway, to inform you of the most recent events in my life:

Anyway, to inform you of the most recent events in my life:
- Went running with my friend's girlfriend at 6am! That was sweet. Workout buddies truly are key to sticking with it.
- My friend (who has left for home) called me in a drunken stupor last night. That was pretty enjoyable. I was completely amused by it and even though he woke me up from a formidable slumber, it was worth it. He was completely wasted.
- Skype-d with my BFFFH last night, she's the best.
- I'm in a fight with my sister (which is never good)
- The TV I have been watching has finally been taken back by it's owner so now I'm TV-less. Which is fine. Luckily, I got to see my season finales Thursday night before she took it.
- ohmygodohmygodohmygod. The Office.
- I'm almost done reading "Pride & Prejudice" (I never read it in high school even though I was supposed to :\) ... I finally get what all the fuss about Jane Austen is about.

Day 267: Exams galore!
I need to be doing Organic problems so this will be a quick update.
I had my Physics exam on Monday -- it went fine. It definitely could have gone better. I realized after the exam (while doing lab problems) that I totally messed up the last problem. I knew I had to combine the resistors, but I couldn't figure out how that related to the problem.
It wasn't until I did the lab homework did I realized what the heck I did wrong. I hope (like crazy) that he'll give me a good amount of partial credit for at least getting all the concepts and math (not the numbers, the math) right.
My Physiology lab quiz on Tuesday went fine. I still suck at Organic lab. It's just a lot of freaking stuff.
My Physiology lab quiz today was not what I expected. I may not have aced it, which is annoying. However, at least I grasp all the material, which is good. Anyway, cross your fingers for a 10.2 score.
Organic exam on Friday.
I'm not feeling comfortable with all these stupid alcohols and ethers and substitutions and eliminations and stupid solvents but it's nothing a little (lot?) practice won't cure.
Oh, and this past Sunday? I ran six miles. Yes, six. It was pretty amazing. I don't expect to beat that but I think I deserve a little bragging. I mean six miles. That's a lot of freaking mileage!
Lastly, Chris Brown and Rihanna. Seriously? Chris Brown? And Rihanna? Dang.

(An example of series resistors;
not my exam problem)
